SuperHillary Will break up OPEC

Published by Gus under Primary Campaign 08

Wow, honestly, I did not know she was this powerful. I mean, between this and her idea to “obliterate” Iran, I guess I am going to vote for her after all. Resistance is futile.

Primary Day: Sweep or a Tie?

Published by Gus under Primary Campaign 08

All the polling data seems to indicate that Obama will win North Carolina, I believe by at least 8-10 points. The data also shows Clinton with a slight lead in Indiana, though Obama has done superbly in early voting. I don’t believe Clinton will win NC, however, she may win Indiana. Tonight I am praying for Indiana to be enlightened and see through the vile campaign that is Clintonland and vote for a new direction in politics.

Obama turned in an excellent performance yesterday on Meet the Press, I thought. The Wright situation seems to be finally disappating as an issue (I mean, after you’ve clearly denounced the man for his statements and clearly stated that your own values and beliefs are quite the opposite of Wright’s, what else can a guy do? Media…let it go. Talk about some real issues.) The topic these days seems to be the proposal of suspending the 18.5 cent federal gas tax for 3 months. Wow. I can’t wait to save a whopping 3.60 a tank. Well, assuming oil companies would actually pass that savings on. As Obama said, this is a complete and total gimmick, he even tried it in his home state and the savings for consumers ended up being……$0. What a stupid ploy, I hope the voters see it for what it is-a political stunt designed to get votes, not solve the problem. Bush would never sign it anyway.

If Obama CAN pull off an Indiana victory tomorrow, Clinton is done. I don’t care what she thinks in her own little isolated chamber of Clintonland, but the rest of the Democratic Party and most superdelegates I think will want to end this charade. Obama’s been through hell and back and guess what–HE’S STILL WINNING AND STILL STANDING. 60% of voters believe he handled the Wright situation quite well. It’s over now. Media, move on.

I think I’ll try a little live blogging tomorrow night as the returns start coming in, which I believe is supposed to start at 7:00pm EST. Let’s go Obama!

Looking at the history of the Gallup Tracking poll, you can see where the situation came up (again) and then what happened after Obama responded. These daily polls are interesting, but not that worthy. You can see what events can do to a campaign though. Just glad to see Obama recovered and is back on top!
